Formed in Liverpool in 2022, Sundown Marathon have been circulating in the underground music scene for some time now, spreading their unique blend of alternative, indie and pop rock to audiences across the North West. Taking influence from bands such as Inhaler, Nothing But Thieves and Biffy Clyro, the band released their debut EP “Inside A Restless Mind” in 2024 and went on to do a series of gigs in Liverpool and Manchester that summer. Tracks from the EP, including Restless Mind and My Favourite Fantasy received airplay on various national radio stations, including Indie Rocks UK and Future Hits Radio. In attendance at one of their gigs in May 2025, Rock Flesh reviewer Jo Crosby commented; “[the band] came on in fairly unassuming manner and proceeded to pretty much blow our socks off…they have amazing energy, the songs literally fizz with enthusiasm, and the whole room was suddenly jumping up and down a little more than they expected to.”
